Midfielder Carlos Paredes has shown he can do it all, whether it is lead the attack or tackle the ball away from the opposition. Captain and veteran defender Carlos Gamarra, who recently made his 100th international appearance, is such a skillful defender that he did not commit a foul at France '98. Only 22, forward Nelson Valdez is considered one of the most promising talents in South America, thanks to his speed and skill.
