Don’t trust everything you read on Wikipedia.

On Friday morning, Red Bulls forward Sebastien LeToux’s Wikipedia page read “A November 15, 2012 announcement confirmed that Le Toux will be rejoining his former club, Philadelphia Union for the 2013 MLS season.”

Then later under the heading “New York Red Bulls,” a sentence read “Le Toux was traded back to the Philadelphia Union at the end of the 2012 MLS season. He will start with his former club in 2013.”

A source close to the situation tells BigAppleSoccer.com that “There is no truth to that whatsoever.”

Acquired in July in a trade that sent Dane Richards to Vancouver, Le Toux made a negligible impact with his new club, scoring just once. He never seemed to fit into the attack in New York and he was less than ideal playing on the wing, looking more comfortable up top in a withdrawn forward role.

Le Toux's numbers with the Red Bulls were not very inspiring: one goal and one assist in 876 minutes over nine starts and 14 games.
