This is the first ever Player of the Month honor for the Frenchman, who entered the League with the Seattle Sounders in 2009.
After scoring only one goal in his first 22 games of the season, Le Toux regained his scoring touch in September, notching seven goals in six games, including two in a crucial 3-2 win over D.C. United last Thursday to keep the Union among the Eastern Conference leaders in a hot playoff race. He began the month with a goal against Real Salt Lake (9/3) and then led the charge against New England on 9/7, notching two goals to allow the Union to battle back from a 4-1 deficit to earn a 4-4 draw. Le Toux scored the game winner against a hot Columbus team on September 17 and a week later netted a second half equalizer to give the Union an important road point against Kansas City at home.
The forward leads the Union in goals (10) and assists (8) and has played every minute of every game thus far this season.
