Loss to Boston keeps Independence from clinching a playoff berth on Sunday
WEST CHESTER, Pa.---The Philadelphia Independence cannot seem to find a way to hold onto a lead against the Boston Breakers. Three times this season, Philly took the lead, and three times they failed to protect it. On Sunday, it cost them a guaranteed berth in the WPS playoffs – at least for another week – after the Breakers rallied for a 2-1 win at Farrell Stadium. Complete story
