SEATTLE – Sinead Farrelly has announced her retirement from professional soccer. The Havertown, Pa., native spent four years in the National Women's Soccer League, but missed the entire 2016 season while on the injured list. She registered three goals and tallied two assists during her four years in the NWSL. Complete story

PORTLAND, Ore. – Paul Riley is bringing his former Most Valuable Player to the Portland Thorns. The National Women’s Soccer League team has signed former Philadelphia Independence midfielder Verónica Boquete.
Boquete is the second former Cheesesteak to join Riley in Portland, following midfielder Sinead Farrely.
