Carmichael returns to OCFC
OCEAN CITY, NJ---Byron Carmichael, Ocean City F.C.’s all-time leading scorer, will return for the 2010 season. Carmichael enters the season with 52 goals, 19 assists in 86 games and he is also the club's all-time leader in minutes played with 6,224.

Jersey shore residents have seen more than their share of Nor’Easters, but at least the latest one won’t leave residents wading through flooded basements. Ocean City FC has adopted the name as it new club moniker, replacing Barons.

OCEAN CITY, NJ---The Ocean City FC PDL team will be holding an open tryout on Saturday, March 6 at 5 p.m. at Rutgers Camden Community Field and has re-scheduled Super Y League tryouts for February 27 and 28.

After 13 seasons, the club dropped the name Barons after severing ties with the South Jersey Barons Youth Academy. The team is now asking fans for their input on a new name.

DES MOINES, Iowa---Two of the most consistent teams in the Premier Development league will face off in the Quarterfinals when the Ocean City Barons face the Chicago Fire (PDL) on Friday night in Des Moines, IA at 6 p.m.ET at Valley Stadium. Chicago has only lost 12 time in 16 games over the last seven years, while the Barons have never had a losing record, yet both teams are still looking for their first league title.

Baron’s Ogunbiyi honored by PDL
TAMPA---Ocean City Barons goalkeeper Tunde Ogunbiyi was named to the Premier Development League’s All-Conference Team, becoming the first Baron to win post-season honors since the 2006 season. Ogunbiyi, in his second season with the club, was 5-4-2 in 11 games played and ranked third in the PDL in goals against average (0.76) and second in goals allowed (8).

OCEAN CITY, NJ---The Ocean City Barons, needing a win to clinch a spot in the post-season, defeated the New Jersey Rangers 3-0 in their final regular season game at Carey Stadium. However, based on the Ottawa Fury’s 2-0 win over the Brooklyn Knights earlier in the evening, the Barons were already in the playoffs before Sunday’s game even kicked off.
