Sounders in 5-0 upset of Rapids
SEATTLE---The Seattle Sounders pulled off their second straight upset of an MLS team , routing the Colorado Rapids 5-0 at Qwest Field Tuesday night. The Sounders advance to the semi-finals of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, where they will face FC Dallas on September 4.

Chivas becomes fifth MLS team to crash
SEATTLE, Wash. – Chivas USA was eliminated in the third round of the US Open Cup, after a 3-1 defeat by Seattle Sounders (USL-1), in a game played at Qwest Field. Five Major League Soccer clubs have been defeated by lower-level clubs in the Open Cup thus far.
