Bucknell selects three women to lead in '08
LEWISBURG, Pa. –Seniors Kelly Boswell (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West), Jennifer Dervarics (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) and Nicole Marotta (Bridgewater, N.J./Mount St. Mary Academy) have been selected to serve as captains for the Bucknell women’s soccer team in 2008, head coach Ben Landis announced Tuesday.

The group includes a goalkeeper, Thomas Caso ( Phoenix, Md./McDonogh), Nader Sawtarie (Bethany, W. Va./The Linsly School); two defenders: Cory Bishop ( U.S. Virgin Islands/Good Hope); four midfielders: Luke Joyner (Dallas, Texas/J.J. Pearce), Brendan Klebanoff (Bethesda, Md./St. Albans School), Andrew Powell (Charlton, Mass./St. John’s), Ryan Sappington (Barboursville, Va./Shattuck-St. Mary’s); and one forward: Peter Davis (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown).

Bucknell's O'Brien wins Big Apple Soccer award
LEWISBURG, Pa. – Conor O’Brien (Mt. Sinai, N.Y./St. Anthony’s), a member of the Bucknell men’s soccer team, was recently named the BigAppleSoccer.com Boys Youth Player of the Year after his performance last summer when he led his club team to the Under-18 U.S. Youth Soccer national title.

VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova University has named Tom Carlin men's soccer coach. Carlin replaces Larry Sullivan who resigned following the 2007 season after 17 years. Carlin served as Sullivan's assistant coach this past season.
