UNANSWERED COMEBACK
Hawks fall to high powered Charlotte

Charlotte scored three unanswered goals to come from behind and defeat Saint Joseph’s 3-1 at Finnesy Field on Sunday.

Taylor Carr gave the Hawks the lead in the 19th minute, scoring on a misplayed header by the defense.

Whitany Bryant answered for the 49ers in the 35th minute, scoring on a shot from the left side of the goal box.

A Saint Joe’s turnover in the 66th minute led to a goal by Whitney Weintraub from 16 yards out.

Hailey Bean then sent an 18 yard free kick over the wall and into the net in the 79th minute.

All four of the game’s goals were unassisted.

The Hawks fall to 7-8-3 (4-5-1 A-10), while the 25th ranked 49ers improve to 15-2-1 (9-0-1 A-10).
Saint Joe’s goalkeeper Christine Neal did not make a save in the game, as Charlotte was held to only eight shots. Lauren Brown made one save in the other net.
